Billing & Credits
Learn how to purchase Credits, activate Production API Access, understand service charges, and review billing activity in the zkMe Dashboard.
Overview

zkMe uses a prepaid Credits model for business customers. Credits are used to pay for Production API Access and eligible zkMe services.
This guide describes Credits billing in the zkMe Dashboard. Refer to the Pricing & Billing Rules shown for your Dashboard account for applicable prices and charges. If you use a separate product dashboard or have a separate service agreement, confirm the applicable billing arrangements with zkMe.
1 Credit represents US$1 of zkMe service value.
Credits are purchased using USDC.
Credits belong to the Dashboard account that purchased them and cannot be shared across accounts.
Buying Credits adds to your balance but does not automatically activate Production API Access.
You can manage billing from Dashboard → Billing.
Key billing concepts
Item
Description
Available Credits
The Credits currently available for new purchases and service charges.
Production API Access
The access period required to use zkMe production services. The standard fee is 25 Credits per month for each Dashboard account.
Credential Fee
A charge for each billable Credential included in a verification session.
KYT Fee
A charge for eligible KYT screening units under the applicable monthly pricing rule.
On-chain Mint Fee
A network-related charge for the On-chain Mint flow, in addition to the applicable Credential Fees. See Cross-chain and On-chain Mint charges below for the charging basis.
Credits are recorded to six decimal places. Where a calculation contains more than six decimal places, the amount is rounded to six decimal places.
Before using production services
Complete the required onboarding and integration setup for your Dashboard account:
Activate and select the products you want to use.
Review and accept the applicable terms.

Generate your API Key and securely download your Private Key & Configure your Whitelist Domains.

Purchase enough Credits.

Activate Production API Access from the Billing page.

Creating an API Key or configuring Whitelist Domains does not activate Production API Access and does not deduct the access fee.
Purchase Credits
Open Dashboard → Billing.

Select Buy Credits.
If this is your first purchase, complete the required Individual or Business information.

Follow the USDC payment instructions displayed in the Dashboard.
Complete one transfer.
If the recharge hasn't been credited, please contact
contact@zk.meor message Alex@zk_alexon Telegram.
The payment instructions are valid for seven days. The Order ID does not contain a fixed payment amount, so you may choose the amount of Credits you want to purchase. Network fees and transfer costs are not included in the credited amount. After the payment is confirmed, the corresponding Credits are added to your Available Credits balance. Confirmation is not immediate and may require additional processing time.
Buying Credits adds funds to your balance. It does not activate Production API Access or enable Auto-renew. Manage access purchases and renewal settings separately in the Production API Access card in Billing.
If the payment instructions expire
If the payment instructions have expired and you have not yet transferred USDC, return to Buy Credits and use the latest instructions. Do not make a new transfer using expired instructions. If you have already transferred USDC but the Credits have not appeared, contact zkMe with your Order ID and Transaction Hash for assistance.
Payment safety
Use only the payment instructions displayed in the zkMe Dashboard.
Make one transfer for each Order ID.
Never send your Private Key, seed phrase, password, or wallet signing information to zkMe.
zkMe only needs the Order ID and Transaction Hash to locate a payment.
Activate Production API Access
Production API Access is required to use zkMe production services.

Make sure your Available Credits cover the full access fee.
On the Billing page, find the Production API Access card.
Select an access period from 1 to 12 months.
Review the total fee and confirm the purchase.
The standard fee is 25 Credits per month, charged once for the selected access period. One active access period covers all production services enabled for the same Dashboard account; it is not charged separately for each product, API Key, or service. Access starts immediately after a successful purchase. If your balance is insufficient, purchase additional Credits and then return to the Production API Access card to complete activation.
Renewal and expiry
You can renew Production API Access manually or enable Auto-renew in Billing.
When Auto-renew is enabled, Production API Access renews monthly using your Available Credits. Keep enough Available Credits to cover the renewal fee and check your access status in Billing. If Auto-renew is disabled, renew manually before your access period expires.

Manual renewal becomes available seven days before the current access period expires.
Renewing manually before expiry extends the new period from the existing expiry time, so the remaining access period is not lost.
If your access period expires without being renewed, production service calls stop.
Your Dashboard account, API Key, Private Key configuration, Whitelist Domains, verification programs, Credits balance, and billing history remain available.
After expiry, check the Production API Access card in Billing and restore an active access period before resuming production calls. Adding Credits alone does not confirm that access has been restored.
How service charges work
Credential Fees
The current standard price is 0.50 Credits for each billable Credential, unless a different price is shown in the applicable Pricing & Billing Rules. This is a price per billable Credential, not a flat price for an entire verification containing multiple billable Credentials.
When a valid verification session starts, zkMe charges for the billable Credentials configured for that session. The charge is based on the configured verification services rather than the final verification result. Refreshing or retrying within the same valid session does not create an additional charge.
Before a new verification session starts, the system checks whether the Dashboard account has enough Available Credits to cover the applicable Credential Fees. If the balance is insufficient, the session cannot start.
Cross-chain and On-chain Mint charges
On-chain Mint: In addition to the standard credential charge, the merchant pays the SBT minting gas fees based on actual consumption.
Cross-chain: No additional on-chain minting or gas fees are charged to the merchant. Standard credential charges still apply.
KYT charges
KYT is charged according to the applicable address or transaction-hash screening unit and the monthly pricing rule shown in Pricing & Billing Rules. Charges are recorded only when an eligible screening task is successfully created and executed.

Frequently asked questions
Does buying Credits activate Production API Access?
No. Buying Credits adds to your balance but does not activate Production API Access. Purchase access from the Production API Access card in Billing. For renewal, use manual renewal or configure Auto-renew in the same card.
Does Production API Access renew automatically?
Yes, if you enable Auto-renew in Billing. When enabled, Production API Access renews monthly using your Available Credits. If Auto-renew is disabled, you need to renew manually before the current access period expires.
What happens when Production API Access expires?
If your access period expires without being renewed, production service calls stop. Your account, integration configuration, Credits balance, and billing records remain available. Check the Production API Access card in Billing and restore an active access period before resuming production calls.
Why has my payment not appeared yet?
Credits are added after the payment has been confirmed. For assistance, email contact@zk.me or message Alex @zk_alex on Telegram, and then send the correct Order ID and Transaction Hash to zkMe.
Where can I see the current prices?
Open Pricing & Billing Rules from the Billing page. The rules displayed for your account are the source of truth for current prices and applicable service charges.
